Lurve...

You don't care that I'm messy,
Or don't comb my hair
That I don't have on make up,
You still sit and stare
And tell me I'm gorgeous-
Your only true love,
That I surely must be
Sent from above
I will never be perfect,
And sometimes I slack-
You never pass judgment,
Point out where I lack
I sit and I wonder
Just what did I do,
That God thought to send me
Somebody like you.
So I'll do my best
To love and fight fair-
And be really grateful
That we are a pair

Music

I love music. All genres... all artists... all of it.
I grew up listening to country, Motown, the Beatles, latin music and everything else you can imagine. As I grew up my tastes in music grew and now my iPod looks like it has schizophrenia... everything from Neil Diamond to Disturbed. Of course I have favorites, but those change like the weather- it just is how I feel that morning that determines what I want to listen to.
I never knew that I would grow up to marry a musician, but I did and he is so incredibly talented that it blows me away sometimes. I guess I take his talent for granted because I am so used to it, but he can play anything that you put in his hands, from a harmonica to the accordion and can play anything after hearing it once or twice, it's really amazing.
Naturally, there is always music in our house, cars and on our phones. One of our first dates was to a concert and we have made it a point to enjoy as many different artists that we can afford to....
I don't always take pictures, I'm really bad at remembering my camera, so here a just a few of the shows we have been to.

Dancing with the hippies @ Sublime w/Rome and 311, August 2011, USANA Ampitheater

One of THE coolest shows ever, The Eagles, April 2009 Rio Tinto Stadium

Pleather thigh highs and shiny glasses, Lady Gaga May 2011- Energy Solutions Arena

Elton John & Billy Joel... Dueling Pianos! 2010 (?) Energy Solutions Arena

Kenny Chesney/Lady Antebellum/Miranda Lambert August 2009 Rio Tinto Stadium
W/Becky, Jeni and LaRissa

I can remember so many moments and people in my life by the music they remind me of. The rides to church every Sunday with my sisters and mom were "Breakfast with the Beatles" on the oldies station. My Grandpa Leo will always remind me of "All My Exes Live in Texas", even though he has been married to my Grandma Eginia for about 60 years and never lived in Texas. My Grandpa Phil will be "I'm So Lonesome I Could Die", especially singing it while someone plays it on the guitar, he loves old country. Family vacations are a happy memory of fighting in the back seat to Los Lobos and the Beatles, the only two groups that my mom and dad both agreed to listen to.

My best friend Diana is always a tipsy version of Mariah Carey on a 'girls only' Vegas trip :D
So many memories are brought up when I hear certain songs. It's super cheesy, but I could probably set a soundtrack to my life based off of what I was listening to at the time and it what it meant to me.
"Send All My Lovin' To You" was the song playing during our first kiss. Armando actually picked the song that I walked down the aisle too, that meant a lot to me. It was "Let It Be Me" by the Everly Brothers, "Each time we meet love, I find complete love, Without your sweet love, what would life be?"

Our first dance was to Sabor A Mi, one of my favorite songs, played by Buddy, Eddy, Bobby, Mike and Israel. Since we didn't have a video of the dance this is the song they played:

It is one of my favorite songs, this version only. The guitars are beautiful and don't mask the singer and what he has to say. In English, it is talking about how you can leave your imprint, your essence, on someone.  It talks bout how even if you go an eternity, you will be able to tell that his love has touched you.
